Runway To Reverence

During TanzLabor's October residency, Norwegian-Belgian choreographer and dancer Iannes Bruylant is working with an international team on the new production “Runway To Reverence.” In an open showing, the ensemble will provide initial insights into the creative process. “Runway To Reverence” explores the theme of gratitude – not as a fleeting emotion, but as a conscious practice that promotes community, resilience, and joie de vivre. Inspired by spiritual rituals and queer pop culture, the team searches for new forms of devotion and ecstasy: with deconstructed gospel harmonies, choreographed invocations, and daring acrobatics, the work celebrates a deeply felt vitality – and asks the question: How can we still be truly grateful today?
